Business Description

Alco Manufacturing is the leading manufacturer of precision machined products, including hydraulic hose fittings, air conditioning and refrigeration couplings, tube fittings, adapters, quick disconnect couplings and other fluid power components for a variety of industrial end markets. The Company is the largest independent producer of unleaded couplings and fittings for hydraulic systems and maintains a significant market share with many of the largest North American hydraulic equipment companies. Hydraulic systems are used in a broad array of applications, and, as such, Alco’s products are utilized as both OEM and replacement products in a diverse range of end markets, including agriculture, construction, industrial production, oil & gas exploration, forestry, mining, utility and material handling equipment.

Alco has increased penetration of key markets and customers, both in existing base business lines and through the addition of new products and assemblies, and expanded production capabilities and market opportunities. Alco has made operational improvements that have complemented the existing strong management team with additional management resources and improved management information systems and administrative support. Alco also approached full capacity as it continued to win business with existing customers and expanded to a second facility in Machesney Park, IL, in early 2012.

Add-On Acquisition Criteria

Alco is interested in add-on acquisitions that would add new capabilities, diversify the customer base, increase end market reach, and broaden geographical footprint.

In February 2016, Alco acquired the assets of Lakeshore Fittings, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of standard and custom precision machined brass, eco-brass, stainless steel and aluminum fittings for the lawn and garden, gas distribution, plumbing and hydraulic industries.

In February 2017, Alco acquired the assets of K&M Precision Products Co., a complementary precision machined steel products manufacturer and Alco’s third facility acquired while partnered with Blue Point.
